Natalie Sastiel, DVM, MPH

Veterinarian

Dr. Natalie Sastiel is the Lead Urgent Care Veterinarian at Central Animal Hospital, bringing extensive expertise in emergency and critical care medicine. Dr. Sastiel earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2016 and a Masters of Public Health (MPH) from the University of Minnesota School of Public Health in 2016.

After completing a rigorous internship in Emergency and Critical Care at Palm Beach Veterinary Specialists and serving as an associate for an additional year, Dr. Sastiel has since gained extensive experience in emergency medicine through continuous part-time and relief positions at various emergency, specialty, and referral hospitals.

Dedicated to staying current with advancements in veterinary medicine, Dr. Sastiel combines advanced medical knowledge with compassionate care. Outside of work, she enjoys edible gardening and adventures with her two golden retrievers and her boys (husband and kids).


Shefali Lemaire, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Lemaire was born and raised in India and moved to the US for university, completing her Bachelor of Science in Marine Science and Biology at the University of Miami. Following her undergraduate studies, she worked for several years in a molecular genetics and pathology lab at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, where she researched a sea turtle virus.

Dr. Lemaire then pursued veterinary medicine at St. George’s University in Grenada, completing her final year at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. Over the past 12 years, she has gained extensive experience working in France, Canada, and the United States. Since 2016, Dr. Lemaire has worked exclusively in emergency medicine and critical care in specialty and referral hospitals.

In her free time, Dr. Lemaire enjoys traveling, exploring the outdoors, and participating in various water activities. She is a fan of Mexican food and loves spending time with her husband Ash, two cats, Guacamole and Barbacoa, and two dogs, Bean and Queso.
